A suite of digital video utilities forming part of Fugro’s "Starfix" software suite. Starfix.DigitalVideo provides Fugro and its clients with a fully featured, fully integrated digital video and eventing system for data acquisition, processing and reporting.
A range of digital video systems are available: Starfix.DigitalVideo a multi channel hardware encoding system that can encode up to three channels to MPEG-2 at 6 - 9Mbps per channel. The latest system is Fugro Digital Video II a single channel system with hardware encoding that can encode to MPEG-2 / H.264 at up to 30Mbps.
Integrated in to Digital Video is Video Overlay, this allows the user to display text, dynamic data and images, removing the need for additional equipment. Video-indexing with precise time-stamping allows any frame from the stored video sequence to be rapidly accessed.
As a partner development to Starfix.DigitalVideo, the MicPack allows professional quality audio to be monitored and acquired across all 3 channels ( L+R for each).
The retrieval and display of the data is integrated within Starfix.Edit , thus allowing the user to view all the survey data and the MPEG-2 imagery at the same time. At the end of the project, an electronic report is exported that contains all the survey data and MPEG-2 clip files showing events of interest. This report can be viewed in Starfix.Review, a free desktop viewer application that is supplied with the report.
